MicroBlog Monday: Skip-Bo

Growing up, my mom and I did snack and story time most nights before bed. We eventally moved onto games and ice cream. We played Othello, Rack-O, Mille Bornes, and any new game we picked out to try. But most of all, we played Skip-Bo.

We played a little mean and she liked that sometimes she could beat me (as opposed to Othello where I was ruthless). I think the last time we played was three years ago when I was here visiting and 8 weeks pregnant. Tonight, I will get Wallace to bed and then we will play.

That is how we know to be together. That is how I know to be here for her. A little friendly competition and the comfortable sound of cards on the table.
