MicroBlog Monday: Weekends

Weekends are by far my favorite time right now. L drives up after she gets out of work Friday night and goes home after Wallace’s bedtime Sunday night. Fourtyeight hours of cooking together, little adventures, seeing friends, nap times together, and lots of fun with Wallace. I put aside most of the chores and deal with them Monday. Anything beyond loading the dishwasher, cooking, or picking up toys can wait.

This weekend, we went to a friend’s housewarming, watched a movie together, made pancakes, drove to a park with a ride on train, and stopped for ice cream and at a garage sale on the way home. The weather was perfect, Wallace didn’t have any big issues, and it felt way too short. Next weekend, we don’t get to have a long visit but I’m hoping we can head down to L for lunch or dinner.
